David Lipschitz is a Computer Scientist, energy historian, and a master of high-stakes data integrity. His journey began not in a server room, but in the cockpit. On August 30, 1986, David "alone and unassisted" took off and returned to Grahamstown Airport, completing his first solo flight and earning his place in the sky.
The certificate was created by David's instructor in Grahamstown. It's a funny rendition of "going solo", and it made a lovely talking point at David's "going solo" party which he had at the Grahamstown Flying Club.
The Black books are the Amazon Print on Demand Paperback on the Left and the Amazon Print on Demand Hard Cover on the right. The middle book is my South African printer Bidvest Data's BluePrint, without a cover yet, so that we can get an accurate size.
The Amazon books say "Not for Resale" as they are "Author Copies".
For decades, David operated at the intersection of complex infrastructure and forensic analysis, earning the title "IT Neurosurgeon" for his ability to decompile and repair broken systems. However, his most significant "Surgical Build" began following the death of his father, a high-ranking SAAF pilot and Major who lived by the rigid military mantra: "Where there’s doubt, there is no doubt".
The Forensic Mission David’s latest work, Military Fathers and Their Sons, is a 500-page forensic memoir that uses Collaborative Intelligence (CI) to decode a family "Battle Group". By analyzing 15,000 logbook entries and historic aviation tragedies like the 1971 Mercurius crash, David has transitioned from obeying the "Commander" to finally understanding the man behind the pilot's mask.
Today, David lives in Cape Town, South Africa, where he continues to bridge the gap between aviation logic and human systems. Whether debugging a global IT infrastructure or navigating a family legacy at 5 knots, his mission is clear: Define the Truth. Restore the System.
